Hello

Proud to partner with Proteus.

Our Rotational Speed Lab, open 24/7 to TGA members, features game breaking technology to take you to the next level. Enjoy access to world-class training, privately and at your own time and tempo. Show up, do the work, and you will be a longer hitter with more control. The lab is fully stocked, with Proteus Motion the centerpiece of our lineup.

Benefits of using Proteus Motion

Testing and diagnostics.  After completing a 7-minute evaluation on Proteus, the system’s AI-powered analysis will tell you exactly what needs to be done to improve your muscle balance, speed and power. It then generates a custom workout plan for you to develop yourself at your own gym, or with our neighbors at Planet Fitness. Many gyms or PT clinics charge $200+ per diagnostic session on a Proteus. If you’re a member, you’re getting that value for free, and you can test whenever you’d like. Your saved profile tracks your progress and helps you benchmark yourself against the best athletes in the world.

Omni-directional concentric force.  Proteus uses magnetic resistance to create a force similar to moving through water, but it is available to you at the handle while your body remains planted on the ground. Imagine doing a wood chopper or a side-to-side swing and having resistance immediately happen against you when you are pushing to the left AND then pulling back to the right. No other training system creates this type of loading and workout efficiency, which is probably why it is trusted by Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Mahomes and scores of PGA, MLB and NHL athletes.

Because there is no eccentric load, Proteus is incredibly kind to your joints.  The system is used by hospitals and clinics across the country for rehabilitation of injuries.

Starting your day at TGA with a Proteus warmup is fast, efficient and effective.  You’ll be far more ready to hit the first tee than anything you can get at the driving range.

Kynett Flywheels

TGA Neenah also features Kynett, the leader in eccentric flywheel training. We mentioned that Proteus focuses on concentric training (pushing or positive loading). Kynett focuses on eccentric (pulling or slowing down / deloading). One of the most critical elements of creating clubhead speed is your body’s ability to create a wall of resistance to the centrifugal force of the club through space. When you post against your lead leg and rip the club past it, your brain will only let you go as fast as it feels stable. Training with Kynett, you are getting your body to “hit the brakes” to fire the club through the hitting zone and turn all of that concentric power you developed in Proteus into force on the golf ball. You will hit it farther and more consistently if you train with these two systems.

Pure Torque

An attachment to our Kynett or rubber band station, Pure Torque looks a little funny in your hands until you realize how much your core is working to turn the apparatus around your body. Pure Torque is an attachment to our cable systems that is trusted by top players in golf, baseball and long drive to deliver rotational core / hip power more effectively than an attachment to said cable or band with your hands. Try it on the Kynett flywheel and you’ll see what we mean.

"The very first moment I used PureTorque I thought, ‘Damn, this thing is different.’ I have been hooked ever since."

-- Tyreek Hill, NFL Wide Receiver

Landmine Training

TGA features a landmine attachment to the Rogue Fitness Rack in our speed lab, allowing you to do all manner of fixed-ended lifts, cleans and presses -- all safely and simply.

TRX & Pull-up training

No golf speed lab is complete without something to pull yourself up on. We’ve got you covered for all forms of upper body training with our TRX and pull-up station.

Kettle Bells, Medicine / Slam Balls, Bands

The south wall of the speed lab is custom designed for you to throw a medicine ball at it as hard as you want as many times as you want. Add in kettle bells and bands and you’ll experience a workout that trains your base, core and fitness levels while solidifying your golf horsepower.

ROTEXMotion

The last piece of utter mayhem in our Rotational Speed Lab is ROTEXMotion. This system, designed by a Navy SEAL, is particularly adept at forcing your leg strength and stability to increase by creating opportunities for your feet to turn independently while in the golf swing. ROTEXMotion are wedge-shaped disks you stand on to introduce force management by your feet into the ground. The system can be used in a standalone fashion in a Trackman session or combined with Proteus Motion, Kynett or anything else in the Speed Lab.
